Who cares in twenty five years
what score I got on that math test
whether I aced the homework check
or failed my physics lab report
Who cares whether we were nominated
for the cutest couple in high school
whether I got asked to dance
at my sophomore homecoming
In twenty five years will I even remember
the fight over that stupid boy
how he winked at me but smiled at you
how I cried because he didn't like me back
Will it even matter even a little bit
the drama I was surrounded by
the loads of make-up that every girl wore
just so she could attract the right guy
I hardly think that any of this
will ever cross my mind in twenty five years
The popularity contests between girls and girls
the cramming for quizzes at 2 a.m.
and the hours I cried when it didn't even matter
It'll be the friendships I make
these bonds that last or break
the experiences I share with all those who care.
Those are the only things that matter
Because that's what I'll remember in twenty five years.
